BMC to install CCTV cameras at 5 reservoirs

According to the civic officials, high-definition CCTV cameras with night vision will be installed at five locations — Pali Hill reservoir, Veravali High Level reservoir as well as Veravali 1, 2 and 3 reservoirs.

A decision taken in accordance with the police guidelines, the proposed installation will ensure round-the-clock surveillance and supply of clean and pure water to citizens.

In a bid to strengthen security at five reservoirs situated at Veravali and Pali Hill, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) rolled out a proposal to install state-of-the-art CCTV cameras within the compound on Thursday.

According to the civic officials, high-definition CCTV cameras with night vision will be installed at five locations — Pali Hill reservoir, Veravali High Level reservoir as well as Veravali 1, 2 and 3 reservoirs. A decision taken in accordance with the police guidelines, the proposed installation will ensure round-the-clock surveillance and supply of clean and pure water to citizens.
