Greed to earn a quick buck has landed two persons in the police net while they were trying to sell country-made pistols.

ACP Gurpreet Singh Wali said,“Dehlon police has nabbed two persons who have been identified as Bahadur Singh and Mahesh, and recovered two country-made 12 bore pistols and two live cartridges from them.”

Bahadur Singh is a retired constable and lives at Harnampura village while Mahesh is a scrap dealer and lives on Dehlon road. Singh came in touch with Mahesh as the latter used to come to the village to buy scrap.

“Singh told Mahesh about how they could make some quick buck by buying cheap country-made pistols from Muradabad and then selling them here in the city. The duo brought two pistols each costing Rs 2,500 and were going to sell them to someone when the Dehlon police arrested them,” added the ACP.

According to the police, the accused do not have any criminal record. But they are investigating who the buyer of these pistols was going to be.
