Ludhiana: The District Congress Committee (Ludhiana Urban) on Monday held a meeting on the partys preparations for the forthcoming elections to the Municipal Corporation. The meeting was presided over by DCC President Pawan Dewan and attended by former minister Malkiat Singh Birmi.

Addressing the meeting,Congress leaders exhorted party workers to unite and ensure the victory of party candidates in the civic elections. They expressed confidence that the Congress would win the MC elections with an overwhelming majority.

Prominent among those present included Block President Palwinder Singh Taggar,Vinod Bathla,Nirmal Kaira,Councillor Gurdeep Kaur Kaka,Sushil Malhotra,Harban Singh Panesar,Gurbhej Chhabra,Jasbir Singh Jassal,Mohinder Singh Shinh,Gurmel Singh Mela,Navnish Malhotra and Gursimran Singh Mand.
