The noise and clamour has died down. After several weeks of fierce competition, the candidates, party workers and their leaders would be looking to rest their heels today on the eve of polling in the all-important state elections in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal, chief of the Aam Aadmi Party, seemed philosophical and optimistic today. Borrowing a leaf from the Bhagawad Gita, he exhorted party workers to ‘work selflessly and never to expect results in return.’
“Leave the results to God. He will bless us,” he wrote in a tweet.
Kejriwal, who remains the most favorite among CM nominees according to opinion polls, added that he would visit all temples and gurudwaras to ask for blessings from God. “Let truth succeed. Let the common man win,” he wrote in the tweet.
Voting across 70 constituencies in the national capital will take place on Saturday from 8 am to 6 pm. The counting of votes will be held on Tuesday, February 10.
