With the Capital going to polls in 11 days, senior BJP leaders Tuesday attacked the Delhi government and urged voters to ensure that the party gets more than 400 Lok Sabha seats so that new temples can be built, including a “grand” one in place of Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi.

Addressing a gathering of women in Shahdara, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on them to vote for BJP in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls and later in the Delhi Assembly polls, if they want to benefit from schemes for women like those implemented in BJP-ruled states including MP.

At another gathering in Laxmi Nagar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma promised super-specialty hospitals instead of AAP’s mohalla clinics in Delhi. “In the last elections, we said we would build Ram Temple, and… it has already been built… When BJP crosses 400 seats, a magnificent temple will be built in Mathura, and a grand temple of Baba Vishwanath in place of Gyanvapi… When we come to power in Delhi, we won’t build mohalla clinics here. We will build super-specialty hospitals, medical colleges.”

Attacking Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Sarma said: “Kejriwal is not an agenda before us because those who want to develop India do not see any other challenge…”
