The Delhi government on Wednesday announced the launch of its first-ever Jan Sunwai initiative to directly address grievances of the industrial sector.

Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the initiative will allow manufacturers to raise concerns without middlemen, while on-site camps will be set up in industrial areas from October to facilitate freehold deliberations.

Sirsa also announced that a Diwali Mela will be held to promote small-scale industry products, alongside reforms such as ending the need for MCD licenses, reducing industrial circle rates, and introducing a single-window approval system.

“Our government has understood very clearly that the people of Delhi have brought us to power to work. Working for the welfare of Delhi will keep us in power for many years,” he said.
