3-year-old drowns in waterlogged plot in Delhi’s Rohini

Police said the plot was waterlogged owing to sewer water overflowing. Residents living in the area also claimed it’s an issue they face every year.

A three-year-old girl allegedly drowned in a waterlogged plot in the Prem Nagar area, Rohini, on Sunday morning. The incident came to light after the girl’s parents informed the police that their child could not be found anywhere.

As per the parents, around 8 am, the girl was playing outside the house but after some time, she could not be found anywhere. Assuming that the girl was kidnapped, police swung into action and started looking for the child everywhere. Finally, the girl was found dead in a waterlogged vacant plot.
