The Indian rupee opened little changed at 83.86 against US dollar on expectations that importers will take advantage of the mini recovery and bets that US Fed rate cuts are not imminent.
International crude oil prices remain stable after falling in the previous session, as investors continued to assess the risk from geopolitical concerns in the Middle East. The stability in prices stems from the Iranian Foreign Minister’s statement that Tehran doesn’t seek further escalation of tension with Israel.
“As long as there is no new adventurism by Israel against our interests, then we are not going to have any new reactions,” Amirabdollahian said to US-based NBC news.
Global benchmark Brent crude oil futures traded 4 cents higher at $87.34 a barrel while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also gained 4 cents to $82.22 a barrel.

Share Market Live Updates: Gold prices declined Rs 697 to Rs 70,500 per 10 grams in futures trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
On the MCX, gold contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs 697 or 0.98 per cent at Rs 70,500 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 19,261 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold prices to weak global cues and profit booking at the higher level.

Share Market Live Updates: Mahindra group's non-bank financing arm Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services said on Tuesday it has uncovered company funds that were embezzled by forging some documents for retail vehicle loans at one of its branches.
The tractor-to-tech conglomerate said it discovered the fraud in late March and that it has taken some corrective actions, including the arrest of “few persons” involved.
“In respect of retail vehicle loans disbursed by the company the fraud involved forgery of KYC (know your customer) documents leading to embezzlement of company funds. The investigations in the matter are at an advanced stage,” M&M Financial said.
Shares of M&M Financials have slid as much as 8%.

Share Market Live Updates: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) is set to introduce derivative contracts on the Nifty Next 50 index from Wednesday.
This came following an approval received from markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi).
The Nifty Next 50 index represents 50 companies from Nifty 100 after excluding the Nifty 50 companies.
Under the derivative contract, the exchange would offer three serial monthly index futures and index options contract cycles. The cash-settled derivatives contracts would expire on the last Friday of the expiry month.

Share Market Live Updates: Juniper Green Energy on Tuesday said it has signed an agreement with Tata Power for the development of an 85 megawatt hybrid power project in Maharashtra.
"The project is the first wind-solar energy project for the company. It will utilize both wind and solar resources by combining 51 MW of wind energy and 34 MW of solar power," Juniper Green Energy said in a statement.
The power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power is for the development of an 85 MW hybrid power project in Maharashtra, the company said.

Share Market Live Updates: International crude oil prices edged higher after falling in the previous session, as investors continued to assess the risk from geopolitical concerns in the Middle East.
Global benchmark Brent crude oil futures traded 18 cents higher at $87.18 a barrel and WTI crude futures also gained 16 cents to $82.06 a barrel.
Both benchmarks fell 29 cents in the previous session on signs that a recent escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran had little near-term impact on oil supplies from the region.
"The unwinding of geo-political risk premium has dented crude oil prices recently as supply was not disrupted meaningfully," said Sugandha Sachdeva, founder of Delhi-based research firm SS WealthStreet.

Share Market Live Updates: The oil-to-telecom-and-retail conglomerate's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 18,951 crore, or Rs 28.01 per share, in January-March quarter of the 2023-24 fiscal, compared to Rs 19,299 crore, or Rs 28.52 a share, a year ago, according to a company's stock exchange filing.
The profit was, however, higher quarter-on-quarter when compared to Rs 17,265 crore in October-December period.

Share Market Live Updates: Shares of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) are trading marginally lower after the oil-to-telecom conglomerate reported its Q4 results.
RIL had reported a flat growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 21,243 crore for the quarter ended March 2024 (Q4) as against Rs 21,227 crore in the same period of last year. However, the company’s gross revenue rose by 10.8 per cent to Rs 264,834 crore during the March quarter as against Rs 238,957 crore last year.
RIL shares are trading 1.35 points, or 0.02 per cent lower at 2,959.05.
