Sean Diddy Combs’s trial on sex trafficking, racketeering, and other severe battery charges has entered its third week at the New York court. After his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura and rapper Kid Cudi, a former employee named Capricorn Clark, testified against Combs and accused him of threatening her with death, kidnapping, and even planning to kill Cudi after his relationship with Cassie began. A longtime employee of Diddy, who kept returning to serve the bad boy record producer because she struggled to find new jobs, revealed that the music mogul once forced her to take several lie detector tests over jewellery theft and said he would throw her in the river if found responsible.
Diddy and Cassie started dating in 2011, but once the relationship began to hit trouble, the singer quietly started seeing rapper Kid Cudi. Clark, who was a friend of Cassie, even helped her buy a burner phone so she could hide the relationship from Diddy, but he eventually found out. One early morning around 5:30 a.m., Diddy showed up at Clark’s home in L.A. As the witness described in court, he was wearing a white shirt and business slacks, but his pants were ripped at the crotch, and he had a gun in his hand.
Clark revealed he was “pacing back and forth.” At the time, Cassie and Cudi were in West Hollywood, which matched the timeline and incident Cudi mentioned earlier. Diddy reportedly asked Clark, “Who is Scott?” and she pretended not to know. He then said, “Kid Cudi,” and Clark responded that he was “Cassie’s friend.” That’s when Diddy allegedly told her to get dressed and said, “We’re going to go kill this n—.” The ex-employee said she didn’t want to go but was forced, with a gun at her waist. She then somehow contacted the couple and warned them about Diddy heading to Cudi’s house, begging them not to let him come. But he came anyway. Going further, the story differs. According to Cudi, when he reached his house, he found it in a messy state, gifts unboxed, and the dogs locked up. According to Clark, when Cudi pulled up outside, he briefly saw Diddy’s black SUV and tried to escape by speeding up. Diddy got back into his car and chased after him, but they lost him.
Clark worked for Diddy on and off between 2004 and 2018. During her time, she alleged encountering multiple threats, including witnessing a brutal act by Combs on Cassie when he beat her and started kicking Cassie with full force after finding out about her relationship with Cudi, leaving her in a near-fatal state. Diddy kept kicking her in the legs and back. When asked by the court why Clark didn’t intervene, she said Diddy threatened her. “He told me if I jumped in, he was going to f*** me up too,” Clark said. She called Cassie’s mother and begged her to help. Back in the early days, when Clark was Diddy’s personal assistant, she described an incident where he lost three rented jewellery pieces on a trip to Miami. The Bad Boy record singer then sent her back to Miami with his bodyguards and asked her to take a lie detector test. The bodyguards told her, “If you fail this test, they’re going to throw you in the East River.” The test lasted five days, and the results were inconclusive. Clark sais she never reported the incident.
