Rajinikanth, currently riding high on the success of his recent film, Jailer, was spotted at the Coimbatore airport. The legendary actor visited Coimbatore for a family function and briefly interacted with the media. During the interaction, Rajini mentioned that he had plans to meet former Andhra Pradesh CM, Chandrababu Naidu, but had to cancel due to the family event. Upon arriving in Coimbatore, the superstar graciously greeted his fans.
Rajinikanth’s arrival in Coimbatore on Sunday drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans who were eager to catch a glimpse of the Thalaiva. Videos of the excited fans were widely shared on social media. During his interaction with the media, the actor also shared insights about his upcoming project, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo, stating that work on it would commence after he completes his commitment to Sun Pictures’ Thalaivar 170.
Previously, Rajinikanth was seen departing from Chennai airport, where he informed ANI about his visit to Coimbatore for a family function. He expressed his regret for missing the opportunity to meet former Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu due to the family event. He said, “I was about to meet former Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu but due to family function it didn’t happen.”
Rajinikanth’s Jailer has proven to be a massive success. It earned over Rs 340 crore in India and achieved an impressive worldwide box office collection of Rs 590 crore.
