Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday will soon be seen in Dream Girl 2 and in a recent interview, she shared that film star Shah Rukh Khan has given his thumbs up for the trailer of the film and found it “very funny.” Ananya, who is close friends with SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, also said that he is “very excited to watch” the film.
Ananya shared with News 18, “He told me 3-4 days back that he really loved the trailer and found it very very funny and he’s very excited to watch it.” One of the first promotional videos of the film had Ayushmann’s character Pooja interacting with Pathaan on a call and the video eventually reached SRK who endorsed it. Speaking about the same, Ayushmann said that it was “very sweet” of the star to support them. “It’s very cute of him, very sweet of him because all the fan clubs got activated and tagged Shah Rukh sir and he replied and he loved the banter. Very fun. I think that’s great validation coming from a legend,” he said.
Ananya, who has grown up with SRK’s daughter and has known the star ever since she was a baby, said that even though she has known him all her life, she is still star struck by him. She shared that she still has the message that Shah Rukh sent her after watching her on the screen for the first time.
“I think the first time that he saw me on the big screen, he sent me a really long message and I have kept that almost framed. Because even though I have known him practically all my life, every time he walks into the room, I’m still star struck. Not just by the actor he is, but also by the human being he is. He is witty, he is humble, he is funny, he is caring, he can make anyone feel so so special so I think I’ve observed a lot just as a human being from him growing up,” she said.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Annaya Panday’s Dream Girl 2 releases in theatres on August 25.
