Esha Deol shares mom Hema Malini wants to ‘make a comeback’, dad Dharmendra asked for family’s inputs before Rocky Aur Rani

Talking about her dad and actor Dharmendra, Esha Deol shared how he still has the 'child-like excitement' before starting a film and he takes inputs from all his family members.

Esha Deol seems to be very keen about her mom Hema Malini’s comeback. While the Deols are enjoying a resurgence in the industry — Dharmendra starred in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani while Sunny Deol delivered a blockbuster with Gadar 2 — Esha in a recent interview shared how she has been pushing her mother to do films again.

Dream girl Hema Malini has been away from the big screens for a while now. The veteran actor and politician was last seen in Shimla Mirchi, which released in 2020, five years after the completion of its shoot. Esha Deol shared that Hema Malini, also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, too wants to do films.

“I’ve been pushing my mother to make a comeback. I’ve been doing it forever! In fact, she too wants to do films again,” shared Esha in her interview with News18. Adding that Hema Malini too wants to return to the screen and has been even reading some scripts, shared, “She’s looking at some good roles and scripts. She’s the kind of person who says that only if something very good comes her way will she step out and go back in front of the camera. If anyone has something good for my mom, they should shoot her a call.”

Esha Deol shared how as a family full of actors they do discuss work and there’s a lot of takeaway and a lot of stuff to talk about.

Sharing about dad Dharmendra, Esha shared that how he personally asks for everyone’s input before starting his projects. The veteran actor was recently seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

“Whenever my dad starts a new project, he’ll show us pictures from his look tests and costumes. He did the same for Taj: Divided By Blood and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He still has that child-like excitement. And that really peps us up. There’s a constant give and take between all of us,” added Esha.
