Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s recent performance in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, drew a massive crowd, but what caught attention was his impromptu response to fans watching the show from a hotel balcony. A video circulating on social media shows Diljit momentarily stopping his performance, gesturing towards the hotel, and saying, “Yeh jo hotel ki balcony mein baithe hai, aap ka toh bara accha bhi hoya. Yeh hotel waale game kar gaye (Those who are sitting in the hotel balcony, this is good for you. The hotel outsmarted us). Without tickets, huh?”

In the video the camera pans to reveal numerous people enjoying the concert from the hotel balcony, prompting Diljit to continue singing while playfully gesturing towards the uninvited guests. Fans reacted to the video, with one commenting, “Uss din hotel ka rent 1lakh ++ tha (That day, the hotel’s rent was over Rs 1 lakh).” Another observed, “They paid more then the ticket price 😂”. A third fan joked, “@diljitdosanjh paaji bhari nuksan hogaya😂 (suffered a huge loss).”

In yet another video that Diljit posted on Instagram, he is seen greeting his fans. One of his fans, attending the concert, even kissed his hands. He captioned his post: “Je Sara Kush Oh Aap Hee kar riha.. Tan Nafart V Odi Te PYAR v Oda.. Mera Mujh Mai Kich Naahi Jo Kich Hai So Tera (You are doing all the happiness.. Body hatred and love too. I don’t have anything in me, whatever I have is yours) 🙏🏽.” Watch the video here:

Beyond the lighthearted exchange, Diljit’s Ahmedabad show also highlighted his stance on social issues. He pledged to start a movement against alcohol, promising to stop singing alcohol-themed songs if all liquor shops in the country were shut down. This statement comes after he received a notice from the Telangana government ahead of his Hyderabad concert, directing him to avoid songs related to alcohol, drugs, and violence. In response, Diljit creatively tweaked the lyrics of his hits, Lemonade and 5 Taara.

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour will continue in Lucknow on November 22, followed by performances in Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh, and concluding in Guwahati on December 29.
