The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, to be held in India, is all set to start on October 5. Just a day ahead of the much-awaited sports extravaganza kicking off, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli took to Instagram Stories to share an advisory. His wife, Anushka Sharma, also chipped in with a comment.
On Thursday morning, Virat shared a note that read, “As we approach the World Cup, I would humbly like to let all my friends know to not request me for tickets at all through the tournament. Enjoy from your home plz.” Reposting this note of Virat, Anushka wrote on her IG story, “And let me just add… please don’t request me to help if your messages get unanswered. Thank you for your understanding.” She added a bunch of humorous emojis.

Starting from tomorrow, a total of 48 World Cup matches will be held across 10 venues. India will be playing their matches in Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.
Anushka and Virat welcomed their daughter Vamika Kohli in January 2021, after which she has kept her work commitments to a minimum. Earlier this year, Virat had said that Anushka has made ‘massive sacrifices’ as a mother in the last two years. On the work front, Anushka appeared for a cameo in the Netflix film Qala (2022), and she will next be seen in a film is based on the life of cricketer Jhulan Goswami, titled Chakda ‘Xpress. This will be her first project after the birth of Vamika. Anushka was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 film Zero, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
