The opening ceremony of the Indian Street Premier League was a star-studded affair as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ram Charan, and Suriya attended the event. Adding to the glamour was legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. During the ceremony, the actors and the cricketer came together to dance to Ram’s Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu”.
Fans shared their excitement in the comments section of the video featuring the performance, and while some supported Akshay as the best dancer in the group, others cheered for Suriya.
While Akshay Kumar owns Srinagar Ke Veer, Majhi Mumbai is owned by Amitabh Bachchan, whereas Bangalore Srtikers is owned by Hrithik Roshan. Chennai Singams and Falcon Risers Hyderabad are owned by Suriya and Ram Charan, respectively.
The first day of the Indian Street Premier League saw every owner being invited onto the centre stage in the field. Actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who are owners of Tigers of Kolkata were also present at the stadium. However, Hrithik Roshan, who owns the Bangalore team, was missing from the event.
Indian Street Premier League is India’s first tennis ball T10 cricket tournament. The ISPL is scheduled to be held from March 6 to March 15 in Mumbai.
