Vijay Deverakonda surprised his fans on Tuesday evening as he shared a couple of photos with Rashmika Mandanna and director Parasuram to mark five years of their release Geetha Govindam. One of the photos had the trio posing for the camera signaling five marking the film’s fifth anniversary, and the other photo had Vijay and Rashmika lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes.
Vijay shared the photos with a caption that read, “So much happening todayyyy, 1) Happy Independence Day to all of us ❤️ 2) with these darlings because 5 years of #GeethaGovindam :))) 3) All set for #Kushi Music Concert ❤️”
Fans were quite excited to see Vijay and Rashmika in the same frame. One of the fans wrote, “This was totally unexpected ❤️ my heartbeat right now is raising 💓 happy 5 years of VIROSH❤️” Another fan wrote, “I thought they were getting married.” Some fans also demanded a sequel for Geetha Govindam as one of them wrote, “We want geetha govindha part 2.”
Vijay and Rashmika have been reportedly dating for a few years now but neither have them have officially commented on the rumoured relationship. When asked the dating rumours, Rashmika previously told Mashable India, “It is all so cute no. I am like aiyoo babu. It is so cute.” She added that she and Vijay are like-minded individuals who grew close while working on various projects together and many mutual friends. “I have this gang in Hyderabad, he has this gang in Hyderabad. And we have a lot of mutual friends. It’s like that. It’s so cute when the whole world is like ‘Rashmika and Vijay’, that’s cute,” she said.
Vijay is looking forward to his next release, Kushi, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Kushi is scheduled to release on September 1.
