A week after announcing her engagement to longtime boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna delighted fans with a new video on Instagram featuring her pet dog, Aura. The clip was part of a promotion of the song Rahein Na Rahein Hum from her upcoming film Thamma. In the video, Rashmika is seen playing the song for her dog, but fans couldn’t take away their eyes from the giant rock on her finger.
Rashmika’s eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed the engagement ring on her finger. Many took to the comments section to express their excitement over what they saw as an indirect confirmation of her engagement. One user wrote, “The whole video is to show us the engagement ring.” Another commented, “Finally, we caught the ring!” Others playfully added, “You posted this video to show your engagement ring, not for the song,” and “This ring is everything and more.”
Rashmika captioned the post: “This was the first song I heard from the film while shooting, and still… I’m in LOVE with this songgg! Also, can we talk about Aura vibing with meee? Imagine she knew that the girl on the screen is me—she would be so confused! I wish she could talk ya! Or rather sing this song!”
Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda was also recently spotted wearing a ring following news of their engagement. He was photographed at Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi, holding a bouquet of flowers—where fans noticed the ring on his finger.
Although the couple is yet to make an official social media announcement, Vijay’s team confirmed the engagement to SCREEN last Saturday. Reports suggest the ceremony took place at Vijay’s Hyderabad residence, attended only by close family members. Rashmika and Vijay were first linked in 2018 after starring together in Geetha Govindam.
Although Rashmika was previously engaged to her Kirik Party co-star Rakshit Shetty, the two parted ways shortly after Geetha Govindam’s release. The rumours around Rashmika and Vijay’s relationship increased after their second collaboration, Dear Comrade (2019), and their frequent vacation posts from similar locations only added fuel to the fire.
