Nagarjuna Akkineni is all set for two big releases this year – Kuberaa with Shekar Kammula and Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recently, the actor opened up about his experience of working on the Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie. Speaking about his love and admiration for director Lokesh, Nagarjuna called him a “whistle factor” with a huge fanbase.
During a conversation with Galatta Plus, the actor recalled witnessing Lokesh’s fan following himself for the first time. He said, “Lokesh is a whistle factor. I was with him on the streets of Chennai, and there’s a huge fan following for him. We went out for lunch, and people kept coming to him. He’s a whistle factor himself.”

He added, “Lokesh will say, ‘Walk in like a tiger when you enter the room.’ He wants you to look intimidating. His camera angles and lighting are all designed to make you look larger than life.”
Nagarjuna concluded by thanking Lokesh Kanagaraj and revealed some details about his role in Coolie. “I have a very important character in the film. I must thank Loki for the way he has presented me. Coolie is a full-on whistle film,” he shared.
Besides Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna, Coolie also features Aamir Khan, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles. Produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh Ravichander’s music composition, the movie is set to hit theatres worldwide on August 14 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and other languages. Recently, actor Aamir Khan also confirmed his cameo appearance in Coolie.
In an interview with Zoom, the actor said, “Lokesh and I are doing a film together. It’s a superhero film – a big-scale action outing. The film will begin in the second half of 2026.
