Before you start point fingers at the producers,they have us know that this is an official remake of ‘Death At A Funeral’,right in the opening credits.

Having got that out of the way,we have to tell you that even if you like the kind of screwball comedies which are full of rattling coffins,faux gay dead men,bad speechmakers,high-on-substance boy-friends running away from anxious girlfriends,and bosomy bimbettes,’Daddy Cool’ will not make you merry.

It is full of gags that sag after the first two uses. And actors who should stay very far from comedies : Aftab Shivdasani,who should be funny after all the practice he’s had,is not. Not even when he is in his blue-striped undies,purportedly high as a kite,threatening to jump off a roof.
