Netflix has dropped the first look for One Piece season 2 alongside confirming a renewal for season 3. The announcement was made during One Piece’s annual festival in Tokyo, held to honour Eiichiro Oda’s globally acclaimed manga. This time, Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail into the dangerous waters of the Grand Line on a hunt for the mysterious Gold Roger’s (Michael Dorman) treasure. Slated for a 2026 release, season 2 will introduce new faces, including two Indian-origin stars. Here’s everything you need to know about the cast.
One Piece season 2 has roped in Indian-British actor Charithra Chandran to play one of the central characters, Miss Wednesday. Netflix fans will remember her as Edwina Sharma from the hit regency-era series Bridgerton, led by Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma) and Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton). Charithra has also appeared in the Amazon spy series Alex Rider, along with projects like How to Date Billy Walsh and Marvel’s Eternals.
Charithra was born in Perth, Scotland. Her parents, who belong to Tamil Nadu, India, are both medical professionals. When Charithra was just 2 years old, her parents separated, and she came to India to be with her father and grandparents. When she was four, she returned to the UK. As she turned 11, she started living with her mother. After completing her studies at Oxford High School, she went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and started pursuing her career in acting at a very young age after joining the National Youth Theatre.

His film credits include Blind Dating, Little India, Shor in the City, Ellen Caulty, and more. Nefertari Cobra is the King of Alabasta and father to Nefertari Vivi in the original manga.
