Hollywood star John Travolta was felicitated with the GQ Legend award at a glittering ceremony here.
The award was presented last night to the 56-year-old actor by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Travolta said he was looking forward to coming to India again and meeting Bollywood stars.
The Hollywood legend also denied that he would be doing a live event with Akshay Kumar. Akshay has done a retro John Travolta look in his upcoming movie ‘Action Replayy’. “We have had no conversation to this effect so far,” he added.
High profile guests from the field of business,film,literature,art and fashion were present at the function.
Abhishek Bachchan won the GQ Ultimate Man while Aishwarya bagged the Excellence award.
Aamir Khan was given the Cinematic Icon of the Year award and it was presented to him by Travolta.
Abhishek found the Hollywood biggie “very sweet and human.” He said the actor who featured in movies like ‘Grease’,’Saturday Night Fever’,’Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Face Off’ was one of his childhood favourite.
Among the other winners were Rohan Bopanna (Excellence award),Arjun Rampal (GQ Most Stylish Man Award),Adi Godrej (Business of the Year),Arjun Atwal (Sportsman of the year),Naseeruddin Shah (Lifetime Achievement award),Karan Johar (Producer of the year),Priyanka Chopra (Woman of the year),Ranbir Kapoor (Actor of the year),Arnab Goswami (TV Personality of the year),Narayana Murthy (Agent of social Change award).
