Police today registered a case against the director of a Hindi serial,following a complaint by the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee (SGPC).
The serial,’Baani Ishq Da Kalma’,is being aired on a private TV channel.
SGPC member Jaswinder Singh had complained that the serial was “wilfully hurting the sentiments of Sikh religion”,a police officer said.
According to the complaint,a character of the serial distributed sacred ‘prasad’ to others who had not covered their heads inside Gurdwara.
