Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal welcomed their first daughter in June and on Wednesday, as Varun appeared on Amitabh Bachcahn-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, the actor finally revealed the name of his baby girl. Varun sang a lullaby that he has made up fir his daughter and in the end, shared that they have named her Lara.

Varun was present on the show with filmmakers Raj and DK as they promoted their upcoming Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny. During the episode, Varun asked Amitabh for some parenting tips as well.

On the show’s Diwali special episode, Amitabh Bachchan mentioned that this year, Diwali is even more special for the Dhawans as they have a new baby girl in their home. He said, “This Diwali is very special for you, Varun, as Lakshmi ji has arrived at your home.” Responding to Big B’s kind words, Varun folded his hands and thanked him.

Varun also sought parenting advice from Amitabh Bachchan, asking if parental duties kept him up at night when his children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan were young. To this, Bachchan said, “I’ll tell you one thing, just keep your wife happy…If she is happy, everything will go well in life. This is a single formula — Wife is supreme.”

Earlier this year, as Varun celebrated Father’s Day, he wrote a special message for his daughter that read, “Happy Father’s Day. My father taught me that the best way to celebrate this day is by going out there and working for your family so I’ll be doing just that. Couldn’t be happier to be a girl dad.”
