“It’s time we find the truth and get justice. Please help our family and the whole world to know what the truth is and find closure, otherwise we will never be able to live a peaceful life!!#CBIForSSR Raise your voice and demand #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #WarriorsForSSR @sushantsinghrajput” she wrote alongside the video.
The appeal has been supported by Sushant Singh Rajput’s friends and colleagues from Bollywood, including Kriti Sanon, Ankita Lokhande, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Sanjana Sanghi, among others.
The CBI registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty and others after Sushant’s father KK Singh filed a complaint with the Patna police against her and her family members alleging abetment of suicide.
The FIR filed by Patna police invokes IPC Sections 306 (abetment of suicide), 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (criminal breach of trust) 506 (criminal intimidation),120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating).
Rhea has told the Supreme Court that she has no objection if the probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is transferred to the CBI. She, however, alleged that the Bihar police crossed their jurisdiction under “political pressure” and they could not transfer probe to the CBI.

"The Investigation Report of the Police is lying with the Supreme Court in a Sealed Cover. Even if Rhea is to be investigated by a third agency , she will face it. Thankfully in this Electronic Age nothing can be concocted or manufactured. Media is requested not to speculate its own theories and make unsubstantiated claims. She has remained silent to such allegations. Her silence should not be mistaken for a weakness. Truth will remain the same."

Rhea Chakraborty, through her lawyer, said that while she wanted to leave Sushant's house after attending her session with therapist, Susan Walker, the late star insisted she moved out before his sister arrived.
"Rhea had been suffering from her own anxiety issues and often endured panic attacks. Sushant’s conduct also aggravated these conditions. Even though Rhea was desirous of seeing her family, she was not at all comfortable with leaving Sushant. The very same day, 8th June 2020, Rhea had arranged to have a therapy session of her own with Dr Susan Walker and requested Sushant if she could leave after the session."
"However, Sushant told her to leave immediately before his sister Meethu arrived. Thus Rhea reluctantly left and informed Sushant to let her or her brother know about anything he required or in case he needed to talk," Rhea in a statement through her laywer said.
Rhea Chakraborty in a statement through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde Tuesday said that she has no objection if the CBI probes Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and denied any connection with Aaditya Thackeray. Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray who has been reportedly linked to Sushant’s death had earlier said he had nothing to do with the case.
“Rhea does not know and has never met Aaditya Thackeray till today. Neither has she ever spoken to him telephonically or otherwise. Though she has heard of him as a leader of the Shiv Sena,” Rhea in a statement through her lawyer said.
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Manishende, has revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput wanted to leave Mumbai and requested his family to come over to meet him but they agreed to see him only after days of requests and "crying on phone."
"Sushant had been calling his family, informing them of his decision to move out of Mumbai and requesting them to come meet him. After several days of Sushant calling and crying over the phone, his sister Meethu agreed to come live with him on 8th of June 2020. Due to this development, Sushant requested Rhea to live with her parents for the time being."
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Manishende, has revealed that her relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput's family soured after an alleged incident involving Rhea and Sushant's sister, Priyanka. The lawyer claimed that Priyanka behaved inappropriately with Rhea around April 2019.
"Rhea was extremely shocked and demanded that she leave the room immediately. Subsequently, Rhea herself left the house. Thereafter, Rhea informed Sushant as to what had transpired and Sushant got into an argument with his sister regarding the same. That due to the aforesaid incident, the relationship between Sushant’s family and Rhea had been strained since inception."
The lawyer further said that this is why Sushant's family didn't allow Rhea to attend his funeral. "Even after his death when a list of 20 people was made to attend the Funeral, Rheas name was not included in the list and hence excluded from attending the funeral."
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, says Sushant Singh Rajput case has become more about politics than finding truth. "The comments made at the last hearing before the Hon’ble Supreme Court on the 11th of August 2020, make it evident that this has become more about politics than the truth. Unwanted and irrelevant submissions are being made. The number of Politicians taking advantage of this case on the eve of elections in Bihar is evident."
