Richest celebs in India: The Hurun India Rich List 2025 is finally out, and fans of Shah Rukh Khan are going to be delighted with the results. While the total list was topped by the likes of Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who are industrial powerhouses, the celebrity list was led by none other than King Khan. According to the list, Shah Rukh is worth a whopping Rs 12,490 crore (approx $1.4 billion), which takes him into the billionaires’ bracket for the first time.
This puts him in the same bracket as Hollywood stars such as Rihanna and Tiger Woods (both are worth $1.4 billion) but behind Taylor Swift ($1.6 billion) and Kim Kardashian ($1.7 billion). These figures are from this year’s Forbes list.
The wins for Shah Rukh and family keep on coming this year, with his son Aryan Khan celebrating the success of his directorial Ba***ds of Bollywood. The biggest contributor to Shah Rukh’s worth is Red Chillies Entertainment, which he founded with his wife, Gauri Khan, in 2002. The production house was the one behind his son’s Netflix show.
Rank | Name | Worth (INR Cr) | Company |
1 | Shah Rukh Khan and Family | 12,490 | Red Chillies Entertainment |
2 | Juhi Chawla and Family | 7,790 | Knight Riders Sports |
3 | Hrithik Roshan and Family | 2,160 | HRX |
4 | Karan Yash Johar | 1,880 | Dharma Production |
5 | Amitabh Bachchan and Family | 1630 | Investments |
The above table means that Shah Rukh is worth more than the combined net worth of the next three competitors including Juhi Chawla and family, Hrithik Roshan and family and Karan Johar.
Red Chillies has been in the game for 23 years and has helmed all of Shah Rukh’s projects since then, making the actor a participant of the profits. The company was also part of a landmark deal with Netflix back in 2016, giving the streaming corporation rights to all old and upcoming movies made by the production house.
Shah Rukh owns some incredibly expensive assets, such as his Rs 200 crore worth bungalow in Mumbai, Mannat. The iconic building is currently under renovation, and the actor is living in a four-floor apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra. The rent for the property is Rs 24 lakh per month, and Gauri has even rented a separate house nearby for Rs 1.35 lakh per month in order to house the entire staff of the family.
Actor Juhi Chawla and husband Jay Mehta follow behind Shah Rukh, with most of the income coming in from the stake in IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. Interestingly, the Raees actor also owns a piece of that pie as well.
Hrithik Roshan and his family are third on the list, with most of the funds coming from his fitness apparel company, HRX.
Karan Johar is next with Dharma Productions in which he sold a majority stake late last year to businessman Aadar Poonawalla. He also owns stakes in other businesses such as Tyaani Jewllery, a restauraunt Neuma in Mumbai and a tech start-up.
Amitabh Bachchan and family have a range of investments including Swiggy, PB Fintechv etc.
