Salman Khan recently appeared on his nephew Arhaan Khan’s YouTube channel, and shared some pearls of wisdom from his life. On Arhaan’s Dumb Biryani YouTube channel, Salman spoke about a variety of topics at his residence, Galaxy Apartments. Salman, who has had many relationships in his life but is still unmarried, told Arhaan that if a girl ever broke up with him, he should just cry it out and move on like nothing has happened.

“Even if your girlfriend has broken up with you let her go. Bye bye,” Salman told Arhaan. He compared breaking up with a girl to ripping off a band-aid and said, “When you have to rip out a band-aid, how do you do it? Slowly? No. Rapidly. Go inside a room, have a good cry and finish the subject. Come out and just say ‘What’s up? How’s it going?'” But, he immediately added that one should apologise as soon as they realise that they have made a mistake. “Always apologise when you have made a mistake. ‘Thank you’ and ‘sorry’ should come out spontaneously,” he said.

Salman then gave Arhaan a lesson in chasing dreams, and said, “Just go after something. If you want to do something, just be focused no matter what is happening. Even if you are injured, unwell, haven’t slept enough, just go for it.” Arhaan then asked Salman about navigating amid different kinds of people and Salman said that being respectful is of paramount importance.

“There is no reason for being disrespectful to anyone. You need to be respectful. And where is there no respect, you don’t sit on that table. Get into a relationship, no matter how much time you spend, you may spend 40-50 years and you realise that I have been stabbed in the back, you should have that power to dip out in the first 30 seconds. Just erase. Out. Done. Khallas. You should behave like it happened to six months ago, it could be a relationship, friendship. This has happened to me now but I have conditioned my mind that it has happened to me six months ago so that pain is a lot lesser,” he said.

Salman will be turning 60 this year. He has never been married, and does not have children.
