Ranveer Singh reveals people would be on ‘alert’ when Jaya Bachchan was on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani set: ‘She has that authority’

In a ‘Making of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ video posted by Dharma Productions, Ranveer says he had a fun time shooting with the veterans. “Dharam ji is just all love. He is the most grounded, down-to-earth superstar. Jaya ji has that authority. When she walks onto a set, everybody is on alert, on attention!”

Alia Bhatt called Jaya Bachchan a “team player” and said she constantly works towards the betterment of the film. “You don’t really need to do anything, you just have to respond to them because they are just so fine and, in the moment,” Alia said about her collaboration.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks Alia’s second full-fledged role in a Karan Johar directorial after her debut Student of the Year. In Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Alia had a special appearance.

“I was excited to do a full-blown, Karan Johar kind of movie. He is one of the greatest directors Indian cinema has ever seen and the best part about Karan is, how receptive he is to feedback and collaboration,” she said.

Ranveer, who worked with Karan for the first time in the film, said the filmmaker has got “such good, positive energy.” “He lives and breathes entertainment, cinema. Sometimes I wonder how he does it. If you ask me, how was it working in the film, I will tell you it was the most fun, like friends coming together making a movie,” he added.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is receiving a positive response from all corners. It has earned Rs 27.15 crore within two days of its release.  Anurag Kashyap recently revealed he watched the film twice.
