After packing a punch in her action spy series Citadel, Priyanka Chopra is all set for yet another action film with stalwarts in the genre, actors Idris Elba and John Cena in Heads Of State.
A video from the sets of Ilya Naishuller’s directorial in London has surfaced on social media recently. In the video Priyanka is seen prepping for a scene with Idris Elba and John Cena in a back alley. While the trio is deep in discussion, Elba suddenly catches the camera and points Priyanka towards it. The two then wave at the person capturing them while Cena tries to locate the camera. Heads Of State is a Amazon original film which was announced last year. The film reportedly went on the floor earlier this month. However, the film’s production is expected to be halted and/or postponed due to the ongoing Screen Actors’ Guild strike after Hollywood actors announced that they will join an ongoing strike by screenwriters in the industry’s biggest shutdown for more than 60 years. The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has gone on strike demanding streaming giants to agree to a fairer split of profits and better working conditions. Priyanka is a part of the guild along with other Hollywood stars.
Reports suggest that as a member of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), Priyanka will not be able to shoot for any film, TV projects in any part of the world until a new deal between SAG-AFTRA and the (Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers) AMPTP can be reached and the actors’ strike ends.
In the meantime, Hollywood will come to a halt and actors will not be allowed to film any movie and TV productions, participate in any press junkets or film premieres, nor can they promote their films.
