The makers of Atlee’s Jawan held a special screening of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, on Thursday evening. The screening turned into a star-studded affair as the film’s star-cast Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone and Sanya Malhotra attended the event along with casting director Mukesh Chhabra. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aaryan Khan and daughter Suhana Khan, their friend and Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda were also in attendance.
Jawan released on Thursday and has opened with positive reviews by film critics. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 75 crore nett in India. The film released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film’s star-cast was all smiles as they attended the screening.
Nayanthara, the female lead of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, chose a black outfit for the special screening. The south star rarely makes public appearances and had earlier skipped the Jawan pre-event in Chennai.
Deepika Padukone, who plays an important cameo in Jawan, was all smiles as she attended the screening. Before the screening, she was at YRF where she is shooting for Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. The actress has earlier shared screen with Shah Rukh Khan in films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Pathaan, which released in January this year.
Deepika was all smiles as she was clicked by the paparazzi. She chose a black-and-white polka dot saree for the special evening.
Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter and actor Suhana Khan attended the star-studded screening along with her brother Aaryan Khan. Suhana wore a black-and-white dress and Aaryan was seen in black casuals.
Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Navya Naveli Nanda was also in attendance. She wore a pretty black dress for the screening.
With Jawan, Nayanthara, fondly called Lady Superstar by her fans in South India, has made an impressive debut in Hindi films.
After wrapping Jawan’s screening, Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Shivan were spotted at Mumbai airport as the couple returned to their home in Chennai.
Dangal actor Sanya Malhotra, who plays one of the important roles in Jawan attended the film’s screening as well.
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who has played a cameo in the film, was also present at the screening.
Comedian and actor Sunil Grover too features in a negative role in the film. He was all smiles as he waved to paps when he was spotted entering the film screening premises.
Actor Aaliyah Qureishi shared inside pictures from the screening along with Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and director Atlee.
Film producer and T-Series head-honcho Bhushan Kumar was among the industry insiders who attened Jawan’s screeing at YRF Studio.
Filmmaker Atlee folded his hands in gratitude as paps captured him in Mumbai.
Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s second successful venture this year. His Pathaan, directed by Sidharth Anand was a superhit and earned Rs 57 crore on day 1 in India; Jawan has already eclipsed the record.
