Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, unlike many other star kids, has carved a unique path for herself. She is the founder of Project Naveli, an initiative focused on women’s education and economic independence. She also co-founded Aara Health, a women-centric health tech company. While Navya’s journey is different from that of many star kids, she openly acknowledges her privileged background.

In a recent interview with HT Brunch, Navya shared, “For me to be able to do what I wanted to do at 21 only happened because I come from a lot of privilege and I had a lot of support from my family, whether that was financial or whatever.”

She added, “I’m grateful for the opportunities that I have been given and the ones I continue to get.”

Navya Naveli Nanda recently made headlines as she walked the ramp at the Loreal fashion show as part of the Paris Fashion Week. Navya’s aunt and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is the Indian brand ambassador for Loreal, also walked the same ramp.

When asked about her family’s legacy and whether her privileged background has influenced her choices in life, Navya told India Today, “It’s an interesting question! People usually keep talking about my last name and legacy and I love reminding people that everyone has a last name. It is not just my responsibility to live up to mine but everyone has a last name that means something that demands value and respect.”
