Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 has created a storm at the ticketing counters ever since its release. Making a total of Rs 92.02 crore till now and Rs 6.72 crore on Wednesday, Judwaa 2 has maintained a strong hold at the box office. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, this David Dhawan film is a remake of the 1997 Salman Khan flick.
As tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film stayed super strong on its crucial Wednesday. Taran tweeted its total collection of six days which now stands at Rs 92.02 crore. “#Judwaa2 is a HIT… Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr, Tue 8.05 cr, Wed 6.72 cr. Total: ₹ 92.02 cr. India biz.” he wrote.
In another one of his tweets, Taran also hinted that if Judwaa 2 manages to pass through week two, it might become the highest grosser of 2017, after Baahubali 2 (Hindi). Judwaa is already among the top five openers of the year joining the league of films like Raees, Tubelight and Jab Harry Met Sejal. And with its constant growth rate, looks like Judwaa 2 will go on to break many other records as well.
Meanwhile, Varun took to Twitter to dedicate the success of the film to his father. He wrote, “judwaa2 is #DAVIDDHAWAN’S 44th film. I am happy as an actor but prouder as a son. He knows his audience and says thank u.”
Releasing on September 29, Judwaa 2 cashed in on the long festive weekend and upped its numbers drastically. Let’s see how it performs in the coming crucial days.
