The much-awaited trailer for Varun Dhawan’s pan-India film Baby John, presented by Jawan director Atlee, is finally out. Directed by Kalees, the film promises to be a complete entertainer with action, drama, romance, and comedy.

The trailer opens with Varun’s character, DCP Satya Verma IPS, also known as Baby John, enjoying a peaceful life as a single father with his daughter, Khushi. Glimpses reveal people around Baby John playfully trying to set him up on dates. Enter Keerthy Suresh, who leaves Baby John mesmerised with her stunning looks. The promo also highlights his interactions with Wamiqa Gabbi, who plays Khushi’s teacher, and Sanya Malhotra. However, Baby John’s serene world is turned upside down when the menacing criminal Babbar Sher, portrayed by Jackie Shroff, steps into his life. A hero celebrated for championing women’s safety, Baby John faces a personal crisis when the villains pose a direct threat to his own daughter. The video then showcases high-octane action sequences as Varun’s character takes on the goons with intense determination. The trailer’s ending also hints at Salman Khan’s cameo in the film.

In the past two weeks, the makers also dropped two songs from Baby John, “Nain Matakka” and “Pikley Pom”. “Nain Matakka”, composed by Thaman S and sung by Diljit Dosanjh, Dhee, featured Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, who will mark her Bollywood debut after starring in several Tamil and Telugu films. Meanwhile, “Pikley Pom”, sung by Vishal Mishra and Baby Riya Seepana, shows the bond between Varun Dhawan and his daughter in the movie.

Baby John is set to hit theatres on December 25.
