Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who delighted the audience with his cameo in Abhishek Bachchan‘s Ghoomer. recently opened up the time he contracted Covid-19 in 2020 and again in 2022. In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15, the actor revealed that he was hospitalised for almost a month when he caught the virus the first time.
Recalling his time at the hospital when he was getting treated for Covid-19 symptoms, Big B shared, “I was in the hospital for about 25 days and I was almost admitted to the ICU. However, I started to get better.”
Bachchan shared about his Covid-19 journey on the quiz show after a contestant shared that he was hospitalised for 33 days and how he lost both his grandparents to Covid-19.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan contracted the Covid-19 virus around the same time and the duo was admitted to the hospital together as well.
Big B also opened up about how he started looking at his son Abhishek as his friend now. He shared, “I consider Abhishek my friend. As per an old saying, when the son wears the father’s shoes, they become friends and we share the same size. So, all my shoes are now taken by Abhishek sahab because it fits him well. I can’t talk to any other family member like I can with Abhishek. And what I believe is that it’s the same with him too. We talk to each other freely and frankly. If either of us are in a problem and are stuck somewhere, we talk it out. This is how our bond is.”
