Actor Amitabh Bachchan is all set to return with the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati in a few days. While everyone knows that shooting for television can be more strenuous than films, the actor shares that it is his live and television audience, whose love keeps him going.

The 80-year-old actor has been hosting the popular quiz show since its inception in the year 2000 except for its third season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. In his blog, Amitabh explained his love for the audience through the example of another politician and businessman.

Amitabh wrote, “One very prominent politician and statesman of the early years of Independence was once asked how he managed at his age to me addressing meetings after meetings, even at the late hour of say 3 in the morning or late night and he said. ‘yes I do get exhausted by the end of the day, but when I see my audience at 3 in the night and hear their cheer, all is forgotten and the energy level picks up again …”

He then addressed his audience and wrote, “It is true for the studio audience or any audience , for that matter ..so my heartfelt gratitude to the audience at work .. any professional or non professional work – that is responsible for our presence with the so called vigour ..”

Amitabh, who will soon return to host the 15th season of the show, also recently spoke about his habit of running to the centre of the stage. He had posted some pictures from the set and wrote, “This activity of running on to set started because I insisted. I was stopped by many. But I was determined. I will always run, on the shoulders of those who love.”

Amitabh will be next seen on the big screen in a Pan India film Kalki 2898 AD. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in leading roles.
