Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s recently released film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is fast becoming a box office hit. On Tuesday, the two stars and director Karan Johar planned a surprise visit to a theatre in Mumbai where the film was being screened. Alia, Ranveer and Karan didn’t participate in traditional publicity tactics ahead of the film’s release, and chose to wait until it had been received well by audiences.

Videos from the theatre have now been shared online, and they show Alia and Ranveer entering the hall after the end credits started rolling. Alia asked everyone, “Picture kaisi lagi (how was the movie)?” Ranveer gave a man a kiss on his cheek and the audience cheered for them. Ranveer also introduced Karan Johar as, “Ladies and gentlemen a round of applause for the maker, man of the moment, Karan Johar! Karan aapke chehre dekh ke I’m so happy, so happy, so happy!”

Alia when on to add, “We just wanted to come and say hi. Ye surprise visit hai and thank you so much for watching our film and taking out the time.”

The stars were seen posing for selfies with the fans. They also interacted with a few. All three of them were dressed in Rocky Aur Rani sweatshirts for this visit.

Apart from Alia and Ranveer, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also stars veteran actors such as Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film has also been lauded by the critics since its premiere last Friday, July 28. At the box office, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is showing no signs of slowing down; and has already made a collection of Rs 60 crore-plus.
