The first promo of the latest season of Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan had his ‘konscience’ with a ‘K’ visiting him to address all the criticism the seventh season of the show received last year. A new video has the host and his conscience, played by the filmmaker himself, brainstorming on the guest list.
The video opens with Karan getting a call from his voice of reason, as he is making the guest list for his show. While his conscience jokes that he has no friends left, the filmmaker suggests that he should invite all his enemies this time. “Then the season will go on till you are you are eighty,” he is told.
KJo then suggests that he would not call any star kids but is told that then there would be ‘no season’ this year. He also opines calling single people but the conscience says he has matched everyone, and the only single person left is the director. Upset with his jibes, Karan says that he feels like he would call his conscience but then jokes that he was just kidding with a ‘K’.
Karan Johar earlier promised some ‘no-filter’ conversations with celebrities in the new season. He said in a statement, “We all know you have been eagerly awaiting the new season of Koffee with Karan – and your wishes have been heard! After the overwhelming response and a lot of conjectures from season 7, this season let’s make my friends and your favourite celebrities spill their secrets along with the no-filter conversations on the infamous Koffee couch. Coming back to Disney+ Hotstar, the new season of Koffee with Karan will be full of uninhibited chats, competitive rapid fires and a lot of conversations, which we all love.”
As per reports, Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani have shot for the new season. The Archies team led by Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda will most likely grace the couch, while Shah Rukh Khan is also said to make a comeback to Koffee with Karan. The eighth season of the show will premiere on October 26.
