Actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt addressed co-contestant Aaliya Siddiqui’s divorce on Bigg Boss OTT 2 recently. Aaliya has spoken often about her separation from actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui both on the show, and in the weeks leading up to it. Pooja said that Aaliya should stop using the victim card to generate sympathy on the show.
Aaliya made headlines after several public spats Nawazuddin earlier this year. The actor has refused to comment on the matter in recent interviews, but Aaliya speaks about it often on the realty show, and was recently reprimanded by host Salman Khan about this as well. “It is irrelevant to the Bigg Boss house. We have no interest in knowing Aaliya’s personal life and vacations,” he said. Salman has worked with Nawazuddin on the films Kick and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Pooja, who has been through a divorce in the past, advised Aaliya to stop using the “victim card” and move on in life. Pooja, who was earlier married to Manish Makhija, said that she too has been through a divorce but doesn’t play the victim card. Addressing Aaliya directly, Pooja said, “I would like to tell you something frankly, shaadi meri bhi tooti hai, dher saari auraton ki tooti hai iske pehle and unfortunately a lot more will go through it in the future, but people get tired of seeing the victim card. I think if you drop the victim card, you will go far in life.”
In response, Aaliya accused Pooja of being dominating and promoting negativity in the house.
