Ahn Bo Hyun has reportedly unfollowed Kim Soo Hyun, following another 88-liner, Im Si Wan. Soo Hyun, once the highest-paid actor in the industry, is now facing a major downfall after being embroiled in a dating scandal involving the late actor Kim Sae Ron, whose life ended in tragedy. The actor has been accused of dating the Bloodhounds star when she was underage, a claim he has consistently denied. However, as alleged evidence continues to surface, Soo Hyun’s popularity and career have taken a serious hit. First, he lost several major brand deals, with Prada being the latest to cut ties. His agency is reportedly facing a financial crisis, and now, his reputation in the industry is at an all-time low.
On April 4, a fan on the South Korean celebrity gossip platform Instiz pointed out that the Military Prosecutor Doberman actor, who once followed a handful of accounts on Instagram, including that of Kim Soo Hyun, had suddenly cleaned up his following list. Bo Hyun’s social media handle now shows 0 following and 5 million followers. This comes after Squid Game 2 star Im Si Wan made a similar move, wiping clean his Instagram following list amid growing fan pressure on Soo Hyun’s inner circle to unfollow him. Though the exact reason behind the move has not been confirmed, many believe they are trying to signal public disassociation from the scandal. Si Wan now follows only his agency, Plum A&C.

Snowdrop star Jung Hae In is also feeling the heat from fans, who are urging him to unfollow Kim Soo Hyun following his press conference. Many labeled his statements as insincere, especially when he tried to justify his position in the Kim Sae Ron case. Ahn Bo Hyun’s connection to Kim Soo Hyun first made headlines after he was photographed alongside the actor and Byeon Woo Seok at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards. Rumours spread like wildfire that they were the newest friends of the 88 liner circle. It’s important to note that none of the actors have made any official statements, and it’s still being speculated that their actions are a response to the recent controversy.
Back in March, Business Proposal star Seol In Ah became the first to unfollow Kim Soo Hyun, Gold Medalist, and all her colleagues, despite being signed to the same agency. The Twinkling Watermelon actor had joined the agency co-owned by Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin, Lee Sa Rang, back in 2022. South Korea’s popular social media platform, Weibo, is buzzing with news of celebrities who have secretly unfollowed the Dream High actor. Among those reportedly distancing themselves are Cho Sei Ho, Lee Soo Hyuk, Dino, Ren Shi Wan, Cha Seung Won, and Hwang Kwang Hee.
