Actors Samantha Rukh Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda are having a good time in Turkey while reportedly shooting a schedule for their upcoming film Kushi. The actors made sure to take some time off work and explore the popular tourist destination.
Samantha took to Instagram to share a picture of herself soaking in the sun, and wrote, “Still dreaming!!.”
Vijay, on the other hand, shared glimpses of the food and beverages that he sampled in Turkey. While one picture showed him at a quaint cafe, with a cup of coffee and a croissant in front of him, another picture showed him sipping Guiness, and a third picture showed a Turkish spread in front of him. He captioned his post, ‘Türkiye & Food.”
Samantha and Vijay are reportedly shooting for a song sequence in Turkey, for which they visited several picturesque locations in the country. Samantha and Vijay are scheduled to be there for over a month, as they film more sequences.
Kushi, a romantic drama, was announced in 2019, but the film got delayed due to the pandemic. The project was revived last year, but the shooting got delayed again because of Samantha’s health. She was diagnosed with myositis. Samantha was last seen in Shaakuntalam, while Vijay starred in Liger. Both films failed at the box office. However, Samantha and Vijay’s fans are looking forward to them being paired opposite to each other in Kushi.
The film’s director Shiva Nirvana is reuniting with Samantha after he directed her in Majili (2019). In a recent interaction with indianexpress.com, the filmmaker had spoken about Samantha and Vijay’s scintillating chemistry and their ability to surprise him with their performances. He had said, “Every director wants to be surprised on sets and I am always looking for that surprise. When I am in front of the monitor, I want to enjoy the scene like an audience. When I see Sam or Vijay’s (Deverakonda) expressions, I forget that I am a director, I will enjoy like an audience. I can imagine myself like the audience sitting in the theatre. So, when Sam gives an extraordinary performance, or expression or even a wink also, it makes me so happy as an audience. So, when you get that feeling, it means a lot.”
