Rana Daggubati’s wife Miheeka reveals why they don’t travel together, cousin Naga Chaitanya drops truth bomb: ‘The amount of food…’

In a recent episode of The Rana Daggubati Show, Miheeka Bajaj and Naga Chaitanya also poked fun at the Baahubali actor's love for heavy comfort foods.

Imagine being married to Bhallaladeva from the Baahubali movies. Not exactly the most comforting thought, right? While the reality is not entirely the same, it seems Rana Daggubati — who brought the menacing character to life in director SS Rajamouli’s epic franchise — might not be the easiest person to live with either, according to his wife Miheeka Bajaj. In a recent episode of his chat show on Amazon Prime Video, Rana was joined by Miheeka and his cousin Naga Chaitanya, who humorously called out some of the actor’s quirky and occasionally annoying habits. The conversation, brimming with love, humour and playful teasing saw both Miheeka and Chaitanya agreeing that living with Rana is no walk in the park.

“When Rana enters a room, it’s like a tornado has hit that room and gone,” Miheeka joked, leaving the Thandel actor in splits. She also shared how she stopped accompanying Rana to airports long ago. “(When going to the airport) Suddenly it’s like everything is fast. ‘Come on, come on, come on,’ he would say. I mean, should I dive into the security and pull my bag out?” she said. In response, Rana added, “So, travelling separately is safe for us. I go (to the airport) too early. I get there early and have breakfast. Even if the flight is a bit delayed… I would like to travel in peace.”

The teasing didn’t stop there. Miheeka and Chaitanya also poked fun at Rana’s love for heavy comfort foods. “The amount of food he eats!” Chaitanya exclaimed as Miheeka chimed in with the “best story about food.” “He had an upset stomach once. He was not even eating curd rice or anything. I told him ‘It’s been two days since you have eaten anything; eat something.’ He said, ‘Will you call for haleem for me, please?’ He ate the whole box of haleem and he was fine the next day.” Rana justified it saying, “Whenever I have a stomach problem, I need comfort food. If I eat biryani or haleem that I am used to, everything gets clean and clear. That’s my culture, babe. I can’t do anything about it.”

Rana and Miheeka tied the knot in 2020, blending Marwari and Telugu traditions in a beautiful ceremony at Hyderabad’s Ramanaidu Studios. The couple had previously formalised their relationship with a ‘roka’ ceremony in May that year.

Besides the fun banter, the chat also turned introspective when Chaitanya, who recently married actor Sobhita Dhulipala, shared his thoughts on success and family. When Rana asked him about his definition of success, Chaitanya replied, “If you are happy in life, I think that itself is success. We might do a successful movie. The collections it makes and the number of shows it runs, that is not the success for me. Judging our intelligence in choosing the script must be paid off. For me, that is success.”

Hearing the word “family,” the Premam actor said, “Family is everything. Without family, I don’t think I can see my life.” Chaitanya and Sobhita got married at the Annapurna Studios, founded by Chaitanya’s grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao in Hyderabad in 1976, on December 4. The wedding was a star-studded affair as the likes of Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu attended the special occasion.
