Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu has completed 50 years in the film industry, and to mark the milestone, a grand celebration titled MB50 – A Pearl White Tribute was organised by his son, actor Vishnu Manchu on November 22 in Hyderabad. The event was attended by Telugu A-listers as well as several celebrities from other film industries.
Notable attendees included Rajinikanth, Ram Gopal Varma, Brahmanandam, Nani, Sundeep Kishan, Aadi Saikumar, Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Ali, and Jackie Shroff. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, along with several other political leaders, was also present.
Many guests arrived in elegant white ensembles to complement the event’s theme.
Mohan Babu arrived at the venue with Nirmala Devi, his second wife and the mother of Manchu Manoj. Nirmala is the younger sister of his first wife, Vidya Devi, with whom he has two children, Vishnu Manchu and Lakshmi Manchu. Lakshmi was also seen attending the event.
Vishnu Manchu marked the occasion with an emotional message on X: “In 94 years of Telugu cinema, my father has carried 50 of them on his shoulders… Congratulations on 50 legendary years, Nana. 🤍 #MB50.”
Actor Mohan Babu has appeared in more than 570 films over his five-decade-long career. He has also produced nearly 60 films. In addition to his work in cinema, he has had a stint in politics and is widely known for his philanthropy and contributions as an educationist.
