Pushpa 2 box office collection day 22 early report: The holiday season seems to be boosting the earnings of Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2 with most people choosing the action drama over newly released films like Baby John and Viduthalai 2. The film, which has successfully crossed the Rs 1100 crore mark in India, and earned over Rs 1600 crore globally in 21 days of its release, doesn’t seem to slow down with the Christmas and New Year season bringing in more footfalls to theatres across the country.
On its 22nd day, Pushpa 2: The Rule has already earned nearly Rs 5 crore. According to Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 4.74 crore by 5 pm today. The film witnessed around 21.76% Telugu occupancy on Thursday with over 500 shows across India. In the Hindi language, the film witnessed an occupancy of about 14.75% with over 3000 shows across India.
According to the makers, the movie has earned Rs 1705 crore gross globally in 21 days of its release, making it the highest grossing Indian film of 2024.
Meanwhile, Baby John, despite it being a new release, has earned just Rs 1.82 crore on Thursday so far, according to Sacnilk. The film had opened to Rs 11.25 crore on Christmas. Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh, has over 4200 shows in Hindi across India.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi’s much-awaited action drama Viduthalai 2 just earned Rs 81 lakh on Thursday as of 5 pm. In seven days of its release, the film’s total collection stands at Rs 31.5 crore.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel of the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. The film, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. The makers have also teased a third part of the movie.
