Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Allu Arjun-starrer makes Rs 417 crore in two days, Hindi version overtakes Telugu in earnings

Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, is continuing its phenomenal run at the box office. After a record-breaking opening day, which saw the film rake in Rs 175 crore nett across all languages in India, Pushpa 2 maintained its momentum on its second day as well collecting Rs 90.1 crore nett in India, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the film’s two-day collections now stand at an impressive Rs 265 crore nett in India.

On the second day, the Telugu version made Rs 27.1 crore, Hindi version earned Rs 55 crore, Tamil version made Rs 5.5 crore, Malayalam version earned Rs 1.9 crore and the Kannada version earned Rs 60 lakh. The overall collections suggest that the Hindi version has already made more money than Telugu as the Hindi collections stand at Rs 125.3 crore and the Telugu version collections are currently at Rs 118.05 crore.

As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film has grossed Rs 417.5 crore worldwide after being in the theatres for two days. According to his data, the film made Rs 282.9 crore on the first day, and collected Rs 134.6 crore on the second day, taking the worldwide total to over Rs 400 crore. Pushpa 2 is now the first Indian film to bring in this much money in the first two days.

On the second day, Pushpa 2 observed an overall Telugu occupancy of 53 percent, with night shows being particularly popular. Hyderabad recorded a notable 65 percent occupancy with 1009 shows, while Bengaluru saw 48.75 percent occupancy with 842 shows. In Hindi, the film registered an overall occupancy of 51.65 percent on Friday. Mumbai emerged as a strong market, with 59.50 percent occupancy across 1523 shows. The Delhi-NCR region also performed well, with 50.25 percent occupancy for 1741 shows.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up where the first installment left off, with Pushpa Raj navigating escalating challenges as a red sandalwood smuggler. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Fahadh Faasil as the menacing SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawan, Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role as Srivalli, and Jagapathi Babu adding a new layer of intrigue to the story.

The phenomenal success of Pushpa 2 is even more remarkable given the monumental success of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise. Released in 2021, the first installment became a global sensation, grossing Rs 393.50 crore worldwide and earning Allu Arjun his first National Award for Best Actor. Pushpa: The Rise emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021.
