For film industries across India, 2023 was a good year. Trade experts speaking to The Indian Express told that the box office collections of movies have become on par with the numbers of the pre-pandemic era. It is reflective on the Instagram posts of celebrities who seem to have had a decent year and are hopeful about 2024. Many from Mahesh Babu, to his wife Namrata Shirodkar to Aditi Rao Hydari took to Instagram to share pictures and welcomed the new year.
Mahesh Babu, who mostly churns out only a film every year, didn’t have a release in 2023 as he has been giving it all for Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The Prince of Tollywood took to Instagram to share a picture with his wife Namrata Shirodkar, and wrote, “Spontaneity. Laughter. Love. Adventure. Growth.”
On the other hand, Namrata, who is relatively active on Instagram, shared pictures of the family on thei first day of 2024. Along with daughter Sitara and son Gautham, Mahesh and Namrata left to Dubai to celebrate the New Year. “It’s a family date the first of 2024. love love and more love .. starting this year on a love note (sic),” wrote Namrata.
Meanwhile, Upasana Kamineni, Ram Charan’s wife and Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, shared a recap video of 2023. The highlights featured their photos from Golden Globes, Oscars, her pregnancy, and baby shower ceremony.
In 2023, Tamannaah Bhatia took the world by storm with her “Kaavala” song from Jailer, and it is just one of the many highlights of her life last year. However, her wrap up video mostly features some random and goofy moments, which seem to be dear to the actor.
And finally, we have Aditi Rao Hydari’s Instagram photo with partner Siddharth. Though the couple chooses not to talk about their relationship, their social media posts do the talking. And this one reads, “Happy blessed grateful. To magic happiness love laughter unicorns rainbows and fairy dust #happynewyear to you all (sic).”
Siddharth had a great year with the release of his film Chittha, a moving story about a sexual abuse survivor and her uncle. The film made it to almost all the Top Ten Best Tamil film lists of 2023.
