It is not just any other release for fans of Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD has brought back the frenzy Prabhas had witnessed during the Baahubali franchise. Theatres across the two Telugu-speaking states have been turned into party arenas where fans dance, burst firecrackers, and scream their hearts out for the Telugu superstar, who is back with yet another big-budget film.
Videos and photos from the theatres across the theatres show that Prabhas appears to have another box-office hit on his hands. Satya Theatres in Hyderabad were among numerous theatres in the city that have become a party place for the fans.

As far as the initial reaction to the film goes, Kalki 2898 AD has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans online. Celebrities like Nani have also come out with huge praise for the film. The Telugu star shared on X, “Internationally slick content oriented mythological futuristic sci fi mass Indian film from the Telugu land eppudaina chusara ? Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is set in a dystopian future were humanity struggles for basic amenities while the top one percent of the population gets to live the dream in a place called Complex. The film marries Hindy mythology with cyber punk elements, which has gotten thumps from the audience.
