Indian filmmakers don’t just make movies anymore. Every film industry has its own cinematic universes. Rohit Shetty has the Cop universe. Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has ‘LCU‘. Pathaan and Tiger are from the same world. In Telugu, there’s something called the HIT universe. Now, adding to the growing number is the possibility of Prashanth Neel’s universe. The teaser of Prabhas’ Salaar was released on Thursday morning, and since then fans of KGF and Prabhas are excited because many elements in the teaser hint that Yash’s Kannada film and Salaar could belong to the same world.

The first clue is the time at which the Salaar teaser was launched. While makers pick the best time to ensure their promos garner a lot of traction, Salaar makers released the teaser at an odd time. The teaser was released at 5:12 am on Thursday, and the reason behind such a move is that Rocky Bhai drowned at the exact time in KGF 2.

Secondly, the most obvious similarity between both teasers is the tone and texture. The colour palette of Salaar and KGF are pretty much the same. Both films have the same rustic colour and the dusty world of grey sand.

A more precise hint would be the presence of the same set in both the films. The end credit of KGF 2 featured a warehouse with the code sign C-516/AIFA. The same structure is seen in the teaser of Salaar as well, which has raised the expectations of fans. On top of that, Easwari Rao, who played an important role in KGF, is also part of Salaar. Fans wonder if she is playing the same role in Prabhas’ film as well.

Everything will become clear on September 28, when Salaar is set to be released across the world in multiple languages. Also starring Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj, Jagapati Babu, and Tinnu Anand, the film has music by Ravi Basrur.
