Veteran actor Raghu Babu, one of the most renown comedy actors of South, made a controversial statement at an event of the upcoming Telugu film Kannappa. The film, inspired by mythological story of Lord Shiva and his devotee Kannappa, stars actor Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas, and Akshay Kumar, among others. While attending a promotional event of the film, Raghu, while speaking to the media, said if anyone trolls the movie Kannappa, they will face the wrath and curse of Lord Shiva. This didn’t go down well with netizens.
In a video surfaced online, Raghu can be seen taking the mic from the film’s actor-producer Vishnu Manchu. He said in Telugu, “If anyone trolls our film Kannappa, they will witness the wrath of Lord Shiva. Remember this. This is 100 percent true. Anyone who will troll will be finished.”
