The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 was revealed several interesting stories, difficult questions, and heartwarming moments, including Amitabh Bachchan revisiting the good old days with his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. In the episode. there were two contestants, named Anshuman Mathur and Paritosh Gupta, battling through in the Challenger’s Round to win the huge prize money. Paritosh secured the hot seat among the two.
Paritosh, who is a cybersecurity consultant living in a 100 sq. ft. chawl with his parents and wife, opened up about his dream of owning a home during the episode. “With the prize money, I hope to at least make a down payment for a 1BHK,” he shared. The game started with a ₹20,000 question – In Mumbai, which of these names refers to both a railway station and a racecourse? Paritosh answered confidently and said – Mahalakshmi, which was the correct answer. After which host Amitabh Bachchan recalled his time in Kolkata, revealing that he once visited the local racecourse in order to earn extra money.
Sharing an interesting story from his own life, he said, “I am saying all this because there was a time, when I used to work in Kolkata, there is also a racecourse. I used to earn Rs 300-400 but it was no enough for a living. I used to visit that racecourse in hope of earning from extra money. I would also share everything with my parents and I told them about my visit to the racecourse. They didn’t say anything but I received a letter from my father and he wrote, ‘dhan ko prapt karne ke liye jab tak khoon paseena na nikle usko prapt nahi karna chahiye (never accept money till she have earned it through your hard work)’. It was his indication that I should never visit that place and I obeyed.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, where he played the role of Ashwatthama. The movie also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in vital roles. He was also seen in Vettaiyan, alongside Rajinikanth.
