I remember I got a call from Salman (Khan) at 1:30 am one day. He told me 'Bhau (as Salman fondly calls him), you host Bigg Boss Marathi, you would be the best choice for it'. I was in sleep and didn't even understand what he was saying. And then a couple of months later, Colors Marathi called me asking if I would be interested. I hadn't even seen one episode of the show, and always wondered what did people like in the show."
The actor-filmmaker added, "But I realised it was so much fun and quite interesting. I didn't watch Salman's work as it would have been tempting to try and be like him. And I wanted to be me, and I think it has worked out well."

I have seen all kind of days. I was named as one of the first Lavani dancers. Initially women were not allowed to do the Lavani dance, and we wanted to break that. I am a muscular guy but I believe in love and as soon as I find someone giving me a green signal, I will run to her.”

My daughter has grown up seeing me work hard and today also she has been very supportive."
Vaishali Mhade says, “Everyone from Maharashtra has showered their love on me and have loved my music. It humbles me. And I want to live with all the participants in harmony." I worked hard even when I stared my singing career. So, I have to keep doing my thing and not worry about the results."
