Hit reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8‘ seems to be doing extremely well, so much so that the makers have decided to extend it by a whole month.
However, current host Salman Khan’s contract expires on January 4, the original date that the show was to conclude as he will get busy with the shooting of upcoming film, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. And reportedly, ‘Happy New Year’ director Farah Khan will then take over the reins of ‘Bigg Boss 8’.
It has been learnt that producers had initially approached filmmaker Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor to host the show, but, finally zeroed in on Farah Khan.
Salman Khan, who at times gets upset with the housemates, had also mentioned during the last season that he might never host Bigg Boss ever. But he was back this season.
However, it remains to be seen whether the director will be able to maintain the same fan following as Sallu bhai, who undoubtedly brought a certain zing to the show.
